Feller has launched a new in-wall thermostat in its EDIZIO.liv design line. What sets this device apart: it is certified for the Matter standard (link). With this move, the Swiss subsidiary of Schneider Electric joins the ranks of traditional manufacturers who are taking Matter seriously as a unifying platform for smart homes.
Smart Heating Control with Matter
The thermostat uses Matter over Wi-Fi to connect to smart home systems and is designed to replace conventional wall-mounted thermostats. Existing devices can be swapped out directly. It supports standard 230-volt actuators for both heating and cooling applications. An additional input allows integration with heat pumps, enabling passive cooling.

The device is equipped with push-in terminals for quick wiring and fits standard in-wall electrical boxes. Setup is handled via a Matter-compatible app and the included QR code, but the device can also function as a stand-alone unit using its integrated touchscreen. Basic features like eco scheduling are available even without a hub. A built-in sensor detects open windows or doors and pauses heating or cooling for 20 minutes when sudden temperature changes are detected.
Seamless Integration into Existing Installations
For installation professionals, the benefits are clear: fewer technical hurdles, no need for additional gateways, and no complex protocol training. Instead, the product offers a structured setup, intuitive commissioning, and growing demand for both retrofits and new builds.
To ensure seamless aesthetic integration, the thermostat is available in three Feller design lines: EDIZIO.liv (including EDIZIO.liv prestige), EDIZIOdue, and STANDARDdue. Customers can choose from six housing colors, ranging from white, gray, and black to crema and umbra.
As a quality product from Switzerland, the thermostat carries the “S+” safety label – a Swiss certification for electrical products issued by Empa, the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology. Feller also offers a five-year warranty on the device.
