The market overview on matter-smarthome is now even more convenient. My table of announced and available Matter products has been given additional search and filter functions. The comprehensive list was simply too extensive. It can now be searched and selected according to specific criteria. The following filters are available:
- Matter connection. Checkboxes allow you to set which of the three authorized protocols (Ethernet, Thread, WiFi) should establish contact with Matter installations.
- Matter role: standard specifications provide for several roles that a device can perform. The three most important ones are: (End)Device, Matter Bridge and Matter Controller. The Border Router function can also be selected – a prerequisite for the operation of Thread products.
- Bridge protocols: Connection protocols that are not provided for in the standard can be added via a Matter Bridge. This makes it possible to use devices that do not support the standard out of the box – for example, those using Zigbee, DALI, EnOcean or KNX.
- Installation type: The classification into DIY (do-it-yourself) and PRO (professional) helps to differentiate between installation products from installers and those for the DIY enthusiast.
All filters can be combined and also affect the results of the full-text search using the input field at the top of the table. You can also choose how many entries are displayed (one to all). The service is constantly being developed, growing with Matter and new filter functions will be added in the future.
