SmartThings has launched an Early Access Program for developers. Selected companies are invited to test their future Matter products in Samsung’s smart home ecosystem – to ensure smooth operation when the new smart home standard launches in the fall. As SmartThings announces in its company blog (link), ten companies are currently part of this exclusive circle:
- Aeotec
- Aqara
- Eve Systems
- Leedarson
- Nanoleaf
- Netatmo
- Sengled
- Wemo
- WiZ
- Yale
Almost all of them have already announced specific products (see overview of Matter-compatible devices) and are likely to be among the first to come to market with such components. Samsung is one of the founding members of the new standard with SmartThings and expects “Matter to become the de facto standard in every home.”
