Eve Systems, now part of ABB, has introduced the fifth generation of its Eve Thermo radiator thermostat (link). As with the previous model, the new version again supports Matter over Thread, and the suggested retail price remains unchanged (€79.95). The appearance, however, has been updated: it looks slimmer and tapers slightly. According to Benjamin Wilms, Product Line Leader Home Automation at ABB, the goal was to make the design even more discreet without compromising usability or display quality. The new version is certified to the specifications of Matter 1.4.1, while the previous model still ran on Matter 1.3.
Eve Systems Announces First Wall Thermostat
Eve is also introducing an entirely new product: Eve Thermostat, a smart wall thermostat for controlling hydronic underfloor heating. It likewise uses Matter over Thread and is scheduled to launch in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in the first quarter of 2026 for €119.95. ABB’s growing integration of Eve’s products into its portfolio shows in another move: in addition to direct consumer sales, the company is also offering the radiator thermostat as a three-pack through electrical wholesalers – intended for professional installations in combination with Busch-Jaeger systems. The access point for Busch-free@home now also serves as a Thread Border Router and can integrate Eve products directly via a wireless stick.
